Wedding Venue FAQs

Can we bring our own caterers?

Yes, we will work closely with your chosen caterers

Is there accommodation nearby?

Yes, we are fortunately surrounded by a number of great B&Bs, or alternatively, your guests can camp on site.

Is the venue licensed for ceremonies?

Yes, we will be fully licensed

Does the venue have a sound system?

•⁠ ⁠we have a sound system (Bluetooth speaker system with a Bluetooth microphone) in the Main barn. Used for speaches or background music.

•⁠ ⁠⁠we would encourage couples to arrange additional speakers for their entertainment.

Do you allow confetti?

We do allow confetti, but we request that it is biodegradable or – better still – made from natural products, such as dried petals.

We’ve left something behind after our wedding; who do we contact?

Can our dog come to our wedding?

While we love furry friends, only guide dogs are permitted at the venue.

How to get to Bow Grange

located just of the A381 between Totnes and Newton Abbot, Bow Grange is very easy to access. With train stations in both Totnes and Newton Abbot guest can arrive by train and with a short taxi journey can arrive at Bow Grange or find us using what3words - newly.battling.loom

What time does the music have to stop?

11pm for amplified music, the venue will stay open until 12:30.

Can we decorate the space ourselves?

Yes – Bow Grange is very customisable and we encourage you to make the space yours!

Do you allow fireworks and/or sparklers?

We allow sparklers but sadly not fireworks.

Is there a church nearby where we could hold our ceremony?

We are a few minutes’ drive from the beautiful St Andrew’s Church in Ipplepen

Does your bars take cash or card payments?

Our bars accepts both cash and card payments or we can run a tab if you would like to offer complimentary drinks..

Is the venue accessible?

Disabled and elderly guests have full access at Bow Grange with the venue being designed to ensure everyone has an amazing day

Can we have candles at our wedding?

We do allow candles

Do you host events other than weddings?

Yes! While weddings are at the heart of what we do, Bow Grange is also available for private parties, milestone celebrations, and corporate events. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, or company gathering, our flexible spaces can be tailored to suit your occasion.

What kinds of corporate events do you host?

We welcome a wide range of corporate bookings, from away days and workshops to company parties and team-building events. Our barns offer both large and smaller spaces, ideal for presentations, group activities, and socialising, all set within peaceful countryside surroundings that help spark creativity and connection.

Can we hire the venue for private parties?

Absolutely! Bow Grange is perfect for birthday parties, engagement celebrations, anniversaries, or any special get-together. You’ll have exclusive use of the venue, including our indoor and outdoor spaces, bar areas, and fire pit — giving you the freedom to design your event just how you like it.

Do you offer catering or entertainment for events?

We don’t provide in-house catering or entertainment, but we’re happy to recommend fantastic local suppliers. You're also welcome to bring in your preferred caterers, food trucks, or entertainers. Our venue is designed to work smoothly with outside vendors, making it easy to create a bespoke event.
